1st bath #3
Today Emma and Abby had their first official baths. Emma's was in her little bathtub, since her umbilical cord fell off and we don't need to give her sponge baths any more. Abby's was in the big bathtub, since she had a little "accident" in her carrier on the way to the vet this morning. By the pictures, it's easy to see that Emma enjoyed her bath a little bit more than Abby did!

On Friday, we took Emma to the Cleveland Clinic to see a pediatric dermatologist. She has a birthmark on her lip called a strawberry hemangioma and we were concerned because it has begun to ulcerate in the middle. She had a laser treatment to seal and protect the ulcer. We will take her back in a month to be checked by the dermatologist and the laser surgeon. At this point, we don't know if the hemangioma will continue to grow and spread, or if it will start to subside. We are just glad we found some great doctors who we know will help us to make the best decisions for Emma.

Emma is officially one month old today! She went to the pediatrician today and we learned she has grown 2 full inches, and she now weighs 8 pounds, 6 ounces. She is in the 25th percentile for her height, weight, and head circumference. She lost her umbilical cord yesterday. It has been a busy week so far for Emma!

Oktoberfest
We took Emma to the Oktoberfest on Friday night and the Artsfest today. We think by the looks of it, she is "fest-ed" out!

Emma sleeping
Mom and Grandma took Emma to the pediatrician today. She has a mark on her lip that the doctor said will eventually fade away. Emma weighs 7 lbs., 11 oz., which is one pound heavier than when she left the hospital.

2 weeks #1
Emma is two weeks old today! She went to church and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at home.
Fourth of July
For her first Fourth of July, Emma watched the fireworks on TV after having a cookout with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Mal.

1 week old
We've had an interesting few days. Emma was one week old on Sunday. We took her to church and to the mall to celebrate. On Monday Meredith went to the ER with two kidney stones. Emma slept through the entire thing, luckily. We came home and rested and then Grandpa Lieberg got hurt and Aaron went to another ER at Metro. Both Grandpa and Meredith are doing better now. Mrs. V. and Mrs. Langer came over to visit this afternoon.
